Planning Commission — 2026-04-09

This is the agenda for the Queen Anne’s County Planning Commission meeting on April 9, 2026, including viewing and Zoom participation options and an 8:45 a.m. start. Staff will provide updates including legislation/legal matters, miscellaneous items, and the Queen Anne’s County Comprehensive Solid Waste Plan (2026–2035). A project hearing is scheduled for Major Subdivision #25-07-0475 (Bishop’s Meadows – Phase III) proposing one new residential lot in Queenstown in the Suburban Residential and Suburban Estate districts. The bulk of the agenda lists citizen-sponsored zoning text amendment applications (#26-04 through #26-11) addressing topics such as allowed large-floor-area uses in the Airport Protection/Kent Island Gateway district, fuel pump setback measurements, increasing impervious surface ratios in the Suburban Commercial district, Waterfront Village Center floor area and commercial apartment location rules, and administrative subdivision rules for Open Space and Transferable Development Rights; the commission will also consider a Planning Commission–sponsored repeal and replacement of the Forest Conservation Act (§18:2) (Ordinance #26-12). Public comment periods are scheduled before and after the agenda items.
