The County Commissioners met March 10, 2026, held two brief closed sessions (personnel/boards & commissions and consultation with counsel), and approved the agenda and minutes from February 24, 2026 (regular, closed, sanitary, and roads). The Board unanimously recommended four people — James Benson, Alison Davis, Ed Cummins, and Jerrod Rickard — to fill Broadband Advisory Council vacancies through March 31, 2029. Public hearings were held on two ordinances: County Ordinance 26-01 (Traffic Control Signal Monitoring/Red Light Cameras) and County Ordinance 26-02 (Speed Monitoring Systems); the written record for each will remain open for two weeks and one public commenter (Eric Levasseur) spoke on the red light camera matter. The Health Department (Brice Strang and Danya Benton) presented updates including the AHEAD Model, State/Local Health Improvement Plans, and the Rural Health Transformation Program, and the Fire & EMS Commission swore in Raymond Aaron as chairman and provided a year-in-review. The Board received a Mosquito Control Program 2026 budgetary agreement from Public Works and reviewed other documents for signature and weekly correspondence including FY2027 Community Reinvestment and Repair allocations, Rural Legacy deeds for Chino Farms, and Resolution 26-03 on Aviation Obstruction Regulations.
