The Queen Anne’s County Board of Commissioners met February 10, 2026. They began with a closed session to discuss personnel, then approved the January 13, 2026 regular, closed, and sanitary minutes and the meeting agenda. The Board held an informational meeting on a Comprehensive Water and Sewerage Plan amendment from the Town of Centreville to allow spray irrigation on leased agricultural land and certain public green spaces (public hearing set for Feb. 24). Commissioners introduced County Ordinance No. 26-01 to authorize Traffic Control Signal Monitoring Systems (red light cameras) with a public hearing on March 10, and County Ordinance No. 26-02 to authorize Speed Monitoring Systems. Presentations included a proclamation for Human Trafficking Awareness Month by representatives of For All Seasons, a YMCA update, and a Peer Support Program briefing; Department of Public Works and new business items covered several local capital projects, grant agreements with the Maryland Transit Administration, a Rural Legacy priority area, a letter of support for an Emergency Services Operations Center funding request, and a budget amendment for Fire and EMS life insurance.
