These are the minutes of the July 29, 2025 Show Cause Hearing of the Town Council of Centreville concerning the mill at 2647 Centreville Road, a structure the Building Inspector declared dangerous. Owner Mr. Geschwilm appeared and said he is obtaining four demolition bids (one received electronically), acknowledged the mill must be demolished, and intends to build a new metal structure and install fencing. MDIA Building Inspector Hal Davis testified the building is severely deteriorated and must be demolished; public comments were taken and Mr. Geschwilm asked for additional time to submit bids by Friday. The Council will obtain demolition bids, consider any bids submitted by Mr. Geschwilm, encouraged him to remove personal items from the mill, and will vote on the Order of Findings of Fact at the August 7, 2025 Town Council meeting; the hearing was adjourned at 7:21 p.m. (Council discussion continued and the meeting fully adjourned at 7:32 p.m.).
