The Centreville Town Council met July 10, 2025 and approved the June 26 minutes; there were no citizen comments. The Clerk reported on the Town’s 250th Celebration event on August 27 (bronze plaque honoring Samuel Turbett Wright on Courthouse Square at 6 p.m., with several named speakers including author Patrick O’Donnell). Two ordinances (Ordinance 10-2025 creating a Chapter 2 Administrative Search Warrants and Ordinance 08-2025 amending Chapter 158 on trailers) were read for second readings and have public hearings set for August 7, 2025. Park Board items included a youth climate invasive-vine removal project starting July 11, wharf planter plans, concerns and outreach about the Tree Permit Process, approval for the Tree to Shore grant application, and a Fishing Derby on September 13; the Town’s intern Nathan Taylor assisted with tree-permit outreach. The Town Manager reported the Mill Property has been posted as a dangerous building and a hearing is set for July 29, 2025; the Police Lieutenant summarized June enforcement and call statistics; the Planning Commission completed the TND draft (vote July 16) and the Town Attorney outlined timelines for TND/PUD ordinance work (workshop July 31, ordinance introduction August 7, public hearing September 18, moratorium expires October 9).
