The Town Council of Centreville held a reorganization meeting on October 17, 2024. The Council unanimously approved the October 3 minutes, accepted the Board of Supervisors of Elections’ certification of an uncontested race, and Katherine Hager (Clerk of the Circuit Court) administered the oath of office to newly elected Council Member Sandra L. Huffer, with the oath certified by Town Clerk Gaye Adams. The Council re-elected Ashley H. Kaiser as President and Jeffery D. Kiel as Vice President for 2024–2025, appointed Sharon VanEmburgh as Town Attorney and Karen Luffman as Finance Officer, and made liaison assignments (Worth to the Planning Commission; Huffer to the Park Advisory Board; Kaiser to Economic Development; Kiel as the voting member to the Queen Anne’s County Council of Governments; Beauchamp to the Maryland Municipal League). No citizens spoke; the meeting adjourned at 7:17 p.m.
