The Town Council held a FY2025 budget work session on April 4, 2024, reviewed and approved department operating budgets and capital requests (General Fund capital $369,647; Enterprise Fund requests $218,700), and reported fund balances (General $208,233; Enterprise $29,703) and a debt schedule of $10,531,000. The council approved keeping the public utility tax at $13.00 per $100 assessed value, approved a $25,000 class-and-comp study, deferred final resolution of health insurance to a mid-year review, and continued discussion about the property tax rate (current .535; constant yield .5179).
