The Centreville Town Council met March 7, 2024. The Council approved the February 15, 2024 minutes, heard a FY2025 budget presentation (FY2025 General Fund revenue $7,221,259; Enterprise Fund $3,235,018; projected FY2024 revenue is 2% over budget or $130,000) and scheduled multiple budget work sessions. A public hearing was held and adjourned for Ordinance 01-2024 (purchase of Map 44C, Parcel 1086); the Town reported two supportive emails and an approval letter from Annie Richards, Chester Riverkeeper (ShoreRivers), and then the Council voted to approve the ordinance and will submit paperwork to the Board of Public Works by the March 28 deadline (letter of intent to SHA to go out March 8). The Council awarded the lease for the Water Reuse Farm at 751 Hope Rd to John Cannon (unanimous vote). Resolution 06-2024 (removal of floating holidays for sworn law enforcement) was introduced by the Council President; no further action is recorded in these minutes.
