The Centreville Town Council met February 15, 2024. The Council held a closed session (6:16–6:44 p.m.) to discuss a personnel matter involving an employee, potential litigation, and an ongoing criminal investigation; Chief Robert Hobbs attended that session. At the regular meeting the Council approved the February 1, 2024 minutes, adopted Resolution 05-2024 to participate in the 2019–2024 Queen Anne’s County Nuisance and Urban Flood Plan (Appendix H), and approved a waiver of Chapter 7, Article I, Section 7-2.A for the Drink Maryland event on June 15, 2024. Other items: introduction of new Town Clerk Gaye Adams; Goodwill Fire Company updates (new ambulance, staffing, supplies, fitness space, HVAC work); Ordinance 01-2024 (purchase of Map 44C, Parcel 1086) was given a second reading and a public hearing set for March 7; the Park Advisory Board will advertise an RFP for a Parks Master Plan for Mill Stream Park and Mill Stream Park II; town manager noted a Town Dinner on March 9 and a bid opening Feb 16 for tilling the town’s water reuse farm.
