These are the approved minutes of the Centreville Town Council meeting held November 17, 2022 at the Liberty Building. The Council approved the November 3 minutes, read a corrected closed-session statement that noted the Council unanimously affirmed a Personnel Review Board decision, and held a public hearing on Ordinance 10-2022 (technical code reference corrections to Chapter 170) with no public comment. The Council then unanimously approved Ordinance 10-2022 as recommended by the Planning Commission. The Town Manager presented a memo on using an Insured Cash Sweep; Councilmember Beauchamp questioned using higher-earning funds to pay a lower-interest loan, and Finance reported current revenue of $8 million and debt of $14 million with a request for additional financials. The Council appointed Jeff Keil to the Planning Commission for a five-year term (to be sworn in December 1). Reports noted a recent COG meeting (Centreville to host January meeting), an Economic Development review of the 2015 CEDA plan, and a Park Advisory Board decorating event on November 27 at noon.
