These are the minutes of the Centreville Town Council FY2023 budget work session on March 24, 2022, where council and staff reviewed insurance, personnel costs, departmental operating and capital budgets, utility and tax rate topics, and debt and fund balance items. Department reviews noted the police request for two additional officers and two promotions (one new officer costs $106,127) to be revisited when all members attend the March 31 session; the Council asked for a debt reduction plan, removed a $30,000 line for sidewalk refurbishment, kept the Goodwill Volunteer Fire Company donation at $45,000, and agreed that 90% of cemetery interest continue to go to the Chesterfield Cemetery Advisory Committee.
