These are the approved minutes of the Centreville Town Council meeting on February 3, 2022. Council approved the January 20, 2022 minutes and reported a January 20 closed session that discussed personnel and potential disciplinary action. The council introduced part-time Code Enforcement Officer Robert F. (Bob) Davis; conducted second readings of Resolution 01-2022 (Charter amendment to repeal/replace Section 523) and Ordinance 01-2022 (new Chapter 105 on purchases and contracts), both set for public hearings on February 17; and heard a Walking Trail Master Plan presentation proposing a connection between North Brook and Symphony Village. Town Hall maintenance needs (peeling/lead paint, rotted door, new carpet) were discussed and Council in the Community meetings were planned. Board and staff reports included: Park Advisory Board/Tree Board plans for an April 29 Arbor Day celebration and tree replacements; Centreville hosting the Council of Governments meeting on February 9; a Planning Commission work session on the Comprehensive Plan and resignation of Chair Darren Brown; and Town Manager updates on a snow removal contract for FEMA cost recovery, development of a FOG (fats, oils, grease) ordinance with 90-day inspections for roughly three dozen food businesses in town, and submission of the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) funding application to the Maryland Dept. of the Environment with follow-up work with WRA.
