Town Council — 2021-12-02

The Centreville Town Council met December 2, 2021. The council approved the November 18, 2021 minutes, reported a closed session held to discuss personnel, land acquisition, and legal counsel (no actions taken), and received a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) on the wastewater treatment plant (current capacity 542,000 GPD). The PER considered expansions to 750,000 GPD and 1.0 MGD, with the consultant recommending 1 MGD; by consensus the council requested a 20-year capital investment plan and agreed to submit the PER to the State. The council appointed Mitchell Delaney to a regular seat on the Planning Commission and approved a full-time Department of Public Works Administrative Assistant II position beginning January 2022. Other items reported included Maryland Municipal League and Council of Governments updates, and Park Advisory Board thank-yous and tree-decorating contest winners.
