The Centreville Town Council met October 21, 2021; members and staff present are listed and the Council approved the October 7, 2021 minutes. The Council held a closed session at 6:00 p.m. to discuss personnel compensation and potential land acquisition; no actions were taken. At 7:05 p.m. the Council opened a public hearing on Ordinance 12-2021 (Chapter 170) to allow a Planned Unit Development (PUD) overlay in the Traditional Neighborhood District (TND) and amend related TND provisions; staff explained the PUD’s greater development flexibility, noted only Carter Farm is currently zoned TND, and that a developer’s concept plan has not been approved by the Planning Commission. Council members Johnson and Kaiser submitted suggested changes, the Planning Commission gave a favorable recommendation, two residents (Sandy Huffer and Elaine O’Neal) spoke in favor, no one spoke in opposition, and the hearing adjourned at 7:34 p.m.
