Town Council — 2021-09-16

The September 16, 2021 Centreville Town Council meeting was opened by Council President Timothy McCluskey with Members Kline and Kiel and staff present. The Council unanimously approved the September 2, 2021 minutes, heard a closed-session report that discussed personnel compensation and potential land acquisition (no actions taken), and received no citizen comments. The Council presented trophies to 2021 fishing derby winners, swore in George Sigler to the Board of Zoning Appeals through April 2023, and heard a Centreville Day update (Oct. 23 event, Broadway closed for “Boardgames on Broadway,” 350 pumpkins, cookie contest planned). In business actions, the Council unanimously approved a Public Works Agreement with MC Ventures, LLC and unanimously approved Ordinance 11-2021 to accept Cypress Street; discussion of park meters was tabled, and Ordinances 12-2021 and 13-2021 (zoning and subdivision text amendments) were read with Ordinance 12 receiving a favorable Planning Commission recommendation and a public hearing scheduled for Oct. 21.
