Planning Commission — 2023-11-01

These are the minutes of the Centreville Planning Commission work session held November 1, 2023, chaired by Kara Willis. The commission reviewed the Draft Comprehensive Plan and recorded specific edits and questions: replace Table 2 with Table 5-1; revise a paragraph to recommend evaluating the current seasonal stream discharge to Gravel Run for possible year‑round flow and extending the outfall into the Corsica River west of the Watson Road Bridge; request the Town Planner to explain a referenced “Tier Map”; add language enlarging the southern boundary between Rolling Bridge Road and Symphony Village to abut the existing Mill Stream branch and enlarge the Growth Area so its southern side follows the stream rather than the planned Taylor Mill Road Extended (with a note that this would allow development on both sides and could facilitate private-sector road upgrades); check consistency with Queen Anne’s County greenbelt on areas adjacent to Mill Stream; and note that the last paragraph on page 10 is incomplete. A follow-up work session was scheduled for December 6; the meeting adjourned at 9:25 p.m.
