Planning Commission — 2023-08-16

The Centreville Planning Commission met August 16, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in the Liberty Building with Chair Kara Willis and five commissioners present; Town Attorney Sharon VanEmburgh and two Council members attended. The commission reviewed three ordinances: Ordinance 05-2023 (Chapter 170 – Indoor Agriculture) which would restrict outdoor expansion but allow indoor growth and was tabled until the next meeting after discussion including comments from Green Thumb Industries representatives about odor timing; Ordinance 03-2023 (Penalty Reference Correction) to standardize penalty sections, which the commission forwarded to Town Council with a favorable recommendation; and Ordinance 04-2023 (Chapter 170 – Electronic Signs) which the commission also forwarded to Town Council with a favorable recommendation. The commission approved the July 19 and August 2 meeting minutes (each approval recorded with 4 ayes and one abstention) and adjourned at 8:25 p.m.
