The Centreville Planning Commission meeting on March 16, 2022 approved minutes from January 19 and February 2, heard a citizen comment urging a full‑time Zoning Administrator and a development moratorium, and administered an oath of office for Wendy Emerson as an alternate member. Following the resignation of the prior chair, Kara Voight was elected Chair, Pat Fox elected Vice Chair, and Tim Zuella elected Secretary. Town Planner Chris Jakubiak explained the growth allocation process under the Critical Area rules, discussed a Carter Farm application to reclassify 40 acres from Limited Development Area (LDA) to Intensely Developed Area (IDA), noted the town’s remaining growth allocation of 186 acres, and the Commission requested a high‑resolution Critical Area map; any recommendation would go to Town Council for a final decision. The Comprehensive Plan work will pause pending discussion with the Town Manager and alternates will be provided the portions discussed so far, and the Council report noted a possible moratorium on wastewater allocation and plans to upgrade the wastewater treatment plant.
