The Centreville Planning Commission met August 4, 2021. Members approved the June 16, 2021 minutes and unanimously forwarded a positive recommendation to Town Council on Ordinance 09-2021 (Accessory Structures) with an amendment setting setbacks at: under 12 ft = 3 ft, 12 to under 15 ft = 5 ft, and 15 ft and over = 10 ft. Town Planner Chris Jakubiak will prepare an applicant checklist for accessory structure permits. The Commission set a timeline for the Comprehensive Plan: review the full report at the September 15 meeting, hold a public informational meeting in January 2022 to gather comments, and plan a public hearing in March 2022. No citizens spoke; Council President Tim McCluskey noted the Council will interview a candidate for the vacant Planning Commission seat on August 19 and prefers applicants with at least six months residency. The meeting adjourned at 8:09 p.m.
