Planning Commission — 2020-09-16

The Centreville Planning Commission met on September 16, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.; Chair Kara Voight, Commission members, Town staff and the Town Planner Chris Jakubiak were present. The Commission unanimously approved the August 19, 2020 meeting minutes and received Jakubiak’s Community Plan update presentation titled “From Growth Area to Villages to Neighborhoods,” which showed base maps, major undeveloped infill tracts, recommended densities and estimated housing unit totals, water and wastewater flow estimates, employment zones, environmental corridors, and principles for promoting “complete neighborhoods.” No citizens provided comments. Council member Tim McCluskey reported that Police Chief Joe Saboury was sworn in on August 18 and said the Women’s Museum plans to move to Turpins Farm but current zoning does not permit museums in residential districts; a text amendment will be considered by the new Town Council. The meeting adjourned at 8:58 p.m.
