Planning Commission — 2020-08-19

The Centreville Planning Commission met August 19, 2020; Chair Kara Voight called the meeting to order and members present included Darren Brown, Pat Fox, Joseph Cichocki, Patricia Cipriano, Town Manager Steve Walls, Town Planner Chris Jakubiak, and Administrative Assistant Betty Jean Hall. The Commission approved the June 24, 2020 meeting minutes as amended and heard no citizen comments. Town Planner Chris Jakubiak reviewed an outline of the Centreville Community Plan Update and the first two draft chapters; the Commission discussed minor grammatical/spelling edits, suggested folding chapter two into chapter one, and recommended public outreach via public meetings, surveys, e-mail blasts, and billing inserts. The group also noted that waiting until 2022 to submit the plan would allow use of newly published census data. With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 9:01 p.m.
