These are the minutes of the Park Advisory Board meeting held via Zoom on January 4, 2022 (Chair Mike Whitehill presiding). The board approved the December 1, 2021 minutes and the 2021 Annual PAB Report, and voted to have Chair Whitehill draft a recommendation letter asking the Town Council to work with Queen Anne's County to pursue a dog park at White Marsh Park. Other items: Wharf Park security and surveillance will be handled by Chief Joe Saboury and the Centreville Police Department; trees near Goose Landing will be replaced during Arbor Day; 2019 and 2021 tree canopy maps will be emailed to members; the Department of Public Works will remove remaining spindle rails from North Pocket Park Pavilion; the board noted deteriorating Wharf signage placed through Maryland Heritage Areas Authority/Mary Margaret Goodwin that needs removal or replacement; and boardwalk frost creating slippery conditions was raised for further research on safe treatment options.
