These are the Park Advisory Board minutes from the March 3, 2020 meeting at Town Hall. The board approved the February 4, 2020 PAB and Tree Board minutes and heard updates that Gametime will install a replacement coral-reef play element at the Centreville Wharf playground and that Washington College (Erica McMaster) provided GIS mapping proposals to be considered after the County mapping is updated. The board drafted a request for the Town Council to extend Southeast Lawn and Landscape’s year-two landscaping agreement to include Centreville Wharf, but funding is not in the current budget and the request will be discussed at the April budget meeting and may not take effect until the new fiscal year. Other items: the Queen Anne’s County Centre for the Arts rep may attend a future meeting to discuss public art, a large Loblolly Pine at Millstream Park will be measured for possible Maryland Champion Tree status, the board will compile project lists and costs for Council budget requests and will review surrounding towns’ park-use fees, Arbor Day is set for April 24, 2020, and Mr. Scott (Character Counts) offered Kennard Elementary 3rd–4th graders for park cleanup but raised supervision concerns. The Town Council has accepted Joshua Shonts as a member; the meeting adjourned at 6:40 p.m. and the next PAB meeting is scheduled for April 7, 2020.
