Two related meetings were held on February 4, 2020: the Park Advisory Board (PAB) at 6:13 p.m. and the Tree Board at 6:02 p.m., both in Town Hall. The PAB approved the January 7, 2020 minutes, noted installation of Pop Taylor Park signs and hydrants at Wharf Park, reviewed a revised list of PAB goals/projects, and unanimously recommended renewal of the Southeast Lawn and Landscape contract with an amendment to add landscaping at the Centreville Wharf. The PAB also reported contact with the Queen Anne’s County Arts Council about grant help for artwork at Millstream Park or the Wharf, agreed to invite a Kennard Elementary representative to discuss student community service projects, and asked for further research on park usage fees. The Tree Board agreed to request a quote from Washington College’s GIS program to update the town tree canopy map, noted the Planning Commission is revising the Tree Canopy Ordinance with county coordination, and set Arbor Day for April 24, 2020. No citizen comments were recorded and both boards adjourned by unanimous vote.
