Ethics Commission — 2020-07-09

The Centreville Ethics Commission met July 9, 2020; members present were Martha Herman (Chair), Carrie O’Connor (Vice Chair), Lucy Ickes-Marks, Town Manager Steve Walls, and Town Clerk Carolyn Brinkley. The Commission reviewed five financial disclosure statements: Robert R. Hardy, Jr.; Jeffrey D. Kiel; Steven K. Kline; Shelby Brown; and Fred M. McNeil. Hardy, Kiel, and Kline were found in compliance and approved by unanimous motion; Brown and McNeil were found incomplete and were asked to complete and resubmit. The Commission questioned Kline’s status as a federal lobbyist but concluded Chapter 54 did not present an issue and asked that be clarified with the Town Attorney; next meetings were scheduled for July 24 and August 6; the meeting adjourned unanimously (minutes note adjournment at 10:57 p.m.).
