Ethics Commission — 2020-01-30

The Centreville Ethics Commission met on January 30, 2020. The Commission approved the August 6, 2019 meeting minutes and reviewed Request for Advisory Opinion #01-2020 from Town Council Member Jeff Morgan regarding Ordinance 01-2020 (a Town request for a tax setoff/tax differential from Queen Anne’s County). After reviewing Chapter 54 and discussing whether the County is a party to the ordinance, the three commissioners unanimously found no conflict that would require Mr. Morgan to recuse himself from discussion or voting on the ordinance. The meeting then adjourned by unanimous motion.
