Bc Elections — 2024-08-14

The Board of Supervisors of Elections met August 14, 2024 at Centreville Town Hall. Members approved the August 14, 2023 minutes and unanimously accepted Sandra L. Huffer’s Certificate of Nomination after the Queen Anne’s County Board of Elections confirmed she is registered in town and has lived in town more than two years. Because the race is uncontested, the Town Clerk will certify to the Town Council on September 5, 2024 that the number of candidates equals the number of seats and the election will be cancelled; the Board will certify the result to the Council at its organization meeting on October 17, 2024. No citizens spoke, and the meeting adjourned at 6:25 p.m.
