This is the minutes of the Centreville Board of Supervisors of Elections meeting on August 20, 2020. The Board approved the August 11 minutes, discussed keeping voting methods familiar to avoid voter confusion, and agreed on COVID-19 safety steps including marking distancing, ordering face masks, hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes and pens, and consulting the County for signage. The Board decided to promote and assist with absentee ballots (allowing residents to complete applications and either vote then or return ballots later), and set two Town Hall absentee-assistance dates: Saturday, September 19 (1–4 PM) and Sunday, September 27 (12–3 PM). For Election Day the Board agreed to purchase plexiglass partitions, space voting booths six feet apart, and perform room set-up at the Vincit Building on Friday, October 2 at 1:00 PM; a candidate ad will run in the Record Observer on September 4. No citizens commented and the meeting adjourned at 6:22 PM.
