DID YOU KNOW the Town of Centreville has a Corsica River Watershed Green Business Program to encourage Centreville businesses to “Go Green” and has certified businesses that have consistently worked towards improved pollution prevention? The program has been offered to restaurants/food establishments, offices, and retail stores since 2009 and is a significant step in stewardship of the Corsica River and stormwater management.
This is a voluntary program, participation is free, and is intended to encourage businesses to implement activities that are good for the environment and their bottom line. The program works to educate business owners, managers, and their staff about how to make their business more environmentally friendly. Under the Green Business Program, certified businesses are given web site recognition and a decal to display to let their customers know about
their environmental efforts.
