TOWN COUNCIL OF CENTREVILLE

RESOLUTION 12-2025

A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF CENTREVILLE TO ADOPT A

REVISED WATER AND SEWER ALLOCATION POLICY

WHEREAS, Section 118-16.B of the Code of the Town of Centreville provides that the Town Council may establish allotments for water and sewer service to reflect changes in market demands, development activity, and the needs of the community and Town;

WHEREAS, by Resolution 10-2017 the Town Council adopted the current Town of Centreville Water and Sewer Allocation Policy with an amendment to it adopted by Resolution 01-2019;

WHEREAS, the existing wastewater treatment plant is near capacity and a new wastewater treatment plant is currently planned for service in early 2031;

WHEREAS, as the remaining allocations are currently a limited resource, the Town Council wishes to ensure that the available allocations are distributed according to a priority system; and WHEREAS, the Town Council wishes to amend the Water and Sewer Allocation Policy as shown on the attached.

NOW THEREFORE, the Town Council of Centreville hereby resolves as follows:

Section 1.

The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein by reference and made a part of this Resolution;

Section 2.

Town of Centreville Water and Sewer Allocation policy is hereby amended as shown on the attached Exhibit.

(Language to be deleted from the existing Water and Sewer Allocation Policy is indicated in strikethrough format and language to be added is indicated by bold italics text)

Section 3. This

Resolution shall be effective immediately upon approval and shall apply to all projects after that date unless:

(a) a deposit for allocations has been paid,

(b) the project is subject to a public works agreement or a development rights and

responsibilities agreement that establishes reserved allocations; or

project, and such approval or reservation of allocations established in (a) (b), or (c) above has not expired.

Section 4. This

Resolution shall be effective immediately.
