APPROVING THE PARTICIPATION OF THE TOWN OF CENTREVILLE IN THE
2025-2030 QU E EN ANNE'S COUNTY MULTI JURISDTCTIONAL HAZART)
MITIGATION PLAN
WHEREAS, the Town Council Centreville, Maryland (the "Town") is a municipal corporation of the State ol Maryland; and WHEREAS. the Town is located in Queen Anne's County, Maryland; and WHEREAS, the Federal Disaster Act of 2000 requires that as a condition of receipt of an increased Federal share for hazard mitigation measures that a State, local or tribal govemment develop and submit lor approval a mitigation plan that outlines processes for identifying the natural hazards.
risks and rulnerabilities ofthe area under thejurisdiction ofthe govemment: and WHEREAS, the Town, along with other municipalities in Queen Anne's Coung and Queen Anne's County. participated in the preparation of the 2025-2030 Queen Anne's County Multijurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan, attached hereto as Exhibit A; and WHEREAS, the Town has reviewed the 2025-2030 Queen Anne's County Multijurisdictional
Hazard Mitigation Plan and approves of its adoption as an official plan within Queen Anne's County.
Maryland as required by the Federal Disaster Act of 20001 and NOW, THEREFORE, BE lT RESOLVED by the Town Council of Centreville. Maryland that the 2025-2030 Queen Ame's County Multijurisdiction al Hazard Mitigation Plan is hereby approved as an official plan within the Town and Queen Anne's County. Maryland as required by the Federal Disaster Act of2000.
