MINUTES
The August 14, 2024, Board of Supervisors of Elections meeting was called to order at 6:15 p.m. by, the Vice Chair, at
the Centreville Town Hall, 101 Lawyers Row. The following members and staff were present: Jennifer Holdgreve,
Vice Chair, Jennifer Wilson, Member, Elizabeth Pearo, Member; Gaye Adams, Town Clerk and Carolyn Brinkley,
Town Manager.
Review of Minutes
Ms. Holdgreve made a motion to approve the August 14, 2023, meeting minutes, as presented. Ms. Wilson seconded
the motion, which passed unanimously.
a. Discussion
• Certificates of Nomination
▪ Ms. Adams reported that Sandra L. Huffer has been confirmed through the Queen Anne’s
County Board of Elections as being registered in the Town and having lived in town for more
than 2 years.
▪ After reviewing the certificates of nomination for Sandra L. Huffer Ms. Holdgreve made a
motion to accept Ms. Huffer’s Certificate of Nomination. Ms. Pearo seconded the motion,
which passed unanimously.
• Election Day
▪ Ms. Adams explained that since the election is uncontested, the Town Clerk will certify to
the Town Council on September 5, 2024, that the number of candidates that have filed
is equal to the number of Council member seats up for election and that the election
will be cancelled. At the Town Council's organization meeting on October 17, 2024,
as described in Chapter II, Section 204 of the Town Charter, the Board of Supervisors
of Elections will certify the result to the Town Council.

Adjourn
There being no further business, Ms. Holdgreve made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Ms. Wilson seconded the
motion, which passed unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 6:25 p.m.
