This is the entry and rules sheet for the 2025 Great Centreville Cookie Contest. Amateur bakers who live in Centreville or have a Queen Anne’s County connection may enter in one of two age brackets (17 & under or 18 & older); entries must be original, homemade cookies made from scratch with room-temperature-stable ingredients (no mixes). Submit a completed form, a copy of the recipe, and one dozen cookies for semi-final judging at Town Hall (101 Lawyers Row) by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14; label containers with name/contact and pick them up by Thursday, October 16. Five finalists per age bracket will be notified by 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 15 and must bake a new batch for final judging at Centreville Day on Saturday, October 25 at 12:30 p.m. in front of the historic Queen Anne’s County Court House (rain date Oct 26); judging is 50% taste, 25% appearance, 25% originality. Prizes: adult grand prize $100 cash plus a trophy (second $50, third $25, plus ribbons/trophies), youth prizes are Sugar Doodles Sweet Shop gift certificates ($50/$35/$20) plus trophies; contestants may submit up to two entries but only one may advance to the finals.

2025 Great Centreville Cookie Contest The contest is open to all amateur bakers who are Centreville residents and those who have a Queen Anne’s County connection. Contestants must fill out all questions at the bottom of this form. Contest Rules • Contestants will compete in one of two age brackets: “17 years and under” or “18 years and older” • An amateur baker is defined as someone who is self-taught, did not attend culinary school or who does not sell baked goods in any capacity. • A “Centreville connection” is defined as someone who lives, works, volunteers, goes to school, or is a member of a civic group or organization based in Centreville. • All recipes must be original recipes. • All cookies must be homemade with ingredients that can be left at room temperature. Cookies should be made from scratch. No cake mixes or prepared cookie mixes are allowed. • Each contestant is limited to a maximum of two entries. Only one entry can compete in the finals. If both entries are tied during semi-finals, the contestant will select which one competes at Centreville Day. • To compete in the finals, contestants must be present on Centreville Day to win. Deadlines: • Drop off this completed form along with a copy of your cookie recipe and one dozen cookies for semi- finalist judging to: Town Hall, 101 Lawyers Row, no later than 4 p.m., Tuesday, October 14th. Note: Contestants must write their name and contact information on their containers and must pick up containers by Thursday, October 16th from Town Hall. • Five finalists for each age bracket will be selected and will bake a new batch for Centreville Day judging. • All contestants will be notified of their competition status by 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 15th.
