This piece of equipment is used to maintain the pivot tracks at the Water Reuse Farm caused by the irrigation pivot wheels. The price of $5,500 plus freight was quoted on 1/2/22, post-COVID. Due to inflated cost of manufacturing, freight increases, and supply chain issues the current price is $12,040.14 (including freight charges). Staff recommends the purchase from Minden Machine Shop Inc for $12,040.14. Respectfully submitted for your consideration. PROPOSED MOTION: I MAKE A MOTION TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF THE PATRIOT PIVOT TRACK CLOSER FROM MINDEN MACHINE SHOP INC. AT THE PRICE NOT TO EXCEED $12,040.14.
